Saibaba.org has received several requests from Sai Chitra Yatra anchor homes to extend Chitra Yatra. To accommodate the necessities of devotees wanting to host the Sai Chitra Yatra, the Chitra Yatra is extended through this winter. If you have any questions, please contact maildrop@saibaba.org.
Sai Vichaar is being sent to thousands of devotees across the globe via email. Recently, Sai Vichaar experienced a technical snag as more number of emails had bounced and needed to be re-sent. This is due to reasons including change of email Ids of devotees or lack of enough memory at the receiver’s end. Devotees are requested to notify Sai Vichaar of any change in their email Ids or other changes with the Internet provider. Another option would be to subscribe for Sai Vichaar using the new email ID. Devotees are also requested to make sure that they have enough computer memory to be able to receive Sai Vichaar, regularly, every week. Archives of Sai Vichaar can be accessed through “What’s New” section of this web site.
Sai devotee Prasad V Nimmagadda proposed the following “Question of the week”.
Q. During a questioning session related to a robbery, Sri Sai indicated his religion to be Kabir religion. What is the significance of Kabir religion?
Humbly Yours,
The Editor

Feature of the week: Kaivalyam
To a spiritual aspirant, certain physical experiences are inexplicable. Certain people and places are capable of bringing out unseen joy and indescribable peace to a seeker. While this is a blessed experience for a seeker, skepticism may describe this as a fantastic imagination of the week-minded. Sure, science has several definitions for such a state of mind. As an example, let us examine what a Hypnotist could do his subject. In this exercise, the Hypnotist proceeds to hypnotize his subject whose only requirement is to be a subject to the order of the hypnotist without offering any resistance. Thus, the hypnotized subject can be happy or sad, ecstatic or gloomy, only until such time the hypnotist has the spell.
One sign of the Perfect Master is to be able to possess all Maha Siddhis or Great Powers. One such power is known as "Kaivalyam", the ability to impart the state of bliss to the chosen. Shri BVNarasimha Swami ji wrote in "Life of Sai Baba, Part IV":
"When they reach Atman or Brahman, Yogis are said to have the power of imparting such a state of bliss to persons fit to receive it. G.S. Khaparde was a highly cultured Sanskrit scholar, and had evidently read Yoga Sastra. He has referred to certain instances and experiences of his diary in the year 1911-12, while he stayed at Shirdi. Therein he repeatedly mentions that Baba cast yogic glances at certain persons who were immediately filled with a wave of bliss, which overpowered all their other mental activities and kept them immersed in bliss for hours without break.
Baba had the power to completely blackout some lines of thought, e.g., that of returning home from Upasani's mind for eight days after his first visit to Baba. This yogic power, which blacks out completely unwanted thoughts would evidently imply the power to give positive bliss to persons fit to receive it. If a person is comparatively free from sin and vice and could keep his mind sufficiently blank or sufficiently pure even for a while, any ordinary or sufficiently experienced hypnotist with a command could fill his mind with blissful thoughts over a considerable period. Baba's yoga sampoorna state enabled Him to keep several people in such happy state as they themselves have recorded in their experiences.

Contributed Article: Miracles!
Miracles happen in every one's life on a periodic basis. Some notice it while others do not. Miracles come in various shapes, forms and the effect it has on the person who experiences or witnesses it. Miracles need to be differentiated from a magician's trick. For most people when they experience something out of the ordinary, it appears as a miracle, especially more so if that is tied to some religious or spiritual topic or subject.
For some, a life saved in the most adverse situations is a miracle! For some, things materializing out of nowhere are a miracle! In the early 1960s, western scientists performed controlled experiments on some Mediums (in this context, a medium is a person who can communicate with souls from other worlds using their clairvoyant skills) and noticed that a medium could call on external forces and have the furniture around them moved about or hang in mid air. (One can go on the Internet and read about the experiences of many such great Mediums.)
Witnessing something that seems impossible or out of the ordinary alone should not be labeled as a Miracle. The effect that the said miracle has on both the object and subject are equally important. Nature has in its fold many hidden attributes, properties and laws that we are not aware of. Human beings stumble upon these hidden aspect of nature periodically, discover and later apply them to use. These discoveries have been happening since time immemorial. What seems common like a cell phone or pager today would be a miracle for someone from the earlier centuries!
Miracles that tend to have materialistic aspects such as materializing objects or things are more geared towards satisfying the ego of a person who craves for influencing, seeing or observing something. It is either help from the other side as a medium or direct knowledge of the hidden laws of nature that are used to perform such miracles. Scientists agree that this universe comprises of atoms and sub atoms that are in constant motion. The whole universe is in constant motion! It is further said that single unbroken particles are rotating around their vortex. According to some Meta physicists, it is the speed at which particles are rotating around its vortex that makes it visible or not. For instance, take a table or mountain, it appears as a solid to the naked eye but deep within each particle is rotating on its vortex but at a very slow speed. On the other hand, consider gas or air, it is also composed of particles that are rotating at a very fast speed around its vortex. By slowing the speed of the vortex of particles one can make the particles appear to the naked eye.
When one embarks on a spiritual journey and constantly practices meditation, one gains knowledge of lot of hidden treasures of Nature. A truly spiritual advanced soul will not use this knowledge for any personal gain. They may use these to aid in healing the sick and needy as the great Reiki masters do. On the other hand, Perfect Masters such as our Sadguru Shri Sai do not need to perform any miracles. They are in such a high state of consciousness that their mere wish becomes the command for Nature! Their mere glance satisfies and nourishes the hungry soul. Cheap miracles are not their calling cards! The biggest miracle Shri Sai performs is to change the nature of the person whom he attracts inside out and continue with it in life after life so that it attains perfection to the same state that He is in!

Experiences of Devotees
Sai Vijayadevan, Hyderabad, India
It's been quite a few years since we had a darshan of Lord Sainath at Shirdi. All our efforts to make it to Shirdi over the last few years were futile. Nevertheless, we reposed firm faith in the Lord. Alas, the call came from Shirdi. We visited Shirdi last week with family. We were in the queue at around noon and were lucky enough to have had a chance to be at the Mandir for the Noon Aarti. We thought of returning back home the next day. Somehow, I was feeling uncomfortable and wanted to visit the mandir again and pray to the lord and prostrate at the feet of Lord Sai Nath, which we could not get this opportunity the previous day (as we returned without touching the feet/samadhi). All of a sudden, while we were on our shopping spree, my wife, my brother-in-law and I just rushed inside the temple all of a sudden and lo! My wish was fulfilled. We were back in the hotel room in about an hour. My joy knew no bounds on that day and I felt extremely happy that BABA fulfilled my wish. Bow to Sri Sai-Peace be to all.

Friday 18th October. 2.30 AM: My wife went into Labor, and was experiencing quite some pain/discomfort. Having called the midwife and my aunt who lives near us (to take us to the hospital), we waited. In the meantime I went up to Baba's portrait in our living room and prayed thus." BABA please take care of everything and protect us, you sent VIBHUTI to your devotee when his daughter was in pain, won't you do the same for this unworthy son of yours? Please protect and help us"
About 5 minutes later, my aunt came to pick us up and removed a packet of VIBHUTI, She said."Oh, I've brought Baba's vibhuti when I went to Shirdi, it's the last packet I had, please give it to Arti with some water".
At this point, I couldn't hold the tears in my eyes, and remembered BABA, who fulfilled his promise. My wife delivered a healthy BABY girl without any trouble. JAI SAI RAM. JAI MAA AMBE

Please pray for the peace and unity between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Cauvery water issue has been dragging and being intensified. This leads to fear and anxiety among Tamils living in Karnataka as well as Kannadigas living in TN. May Lord Sai shower his blessings so that this issue is sorted out at the earliest and peace prevail in both the states.
Please let us all pray Lord Sai.
Om Sri Sainaadhaaya Namaha! Sai you know what's going on in my life. I've waited with patience until now (7yrs). These days I'm losing it and losing faith in life. Sometimes I'm losing confidence in me, as everything I plan will be reversed... Please Baba give me strength to overcome all the difficulties and settle in my life soon with peace of mind. I also ask all my sai bandhus to pray for my family and me to get out of ALL disturbances we've been facing since couple of years. Thank You my Sai.
A Sai devotee

OM SAI SRI SAI JAI JAI SAI, Baba please forgive my past sins and bless me to have a child because nothing is possible without your blessings. I am waiting anxiously since many years for a child, so bless me by the coming year that I will have a child. Please all Sai devotees pray Baba to bless me with a child. Thanks for all that you have done to me Baba.
A Sai devotee
Baba, I need you help. As you know I have no patience at all and I always end up screaming at my kids at home and when they are asleep at night, I am awake all night feeling guilty for yelling and getting angry at them. Baba, please help me, I need you. I know you have shown me many small miracles but I think I need a big miracle to control my anger and have more patience. I have been trying for the past 10-15 years for acquiring patience but have not succeeded. I know that without your blessing, I can achieve nothing. Baba, I beg you please help me. My children are getting hurt by my anger and my family is suffering. Baba, you have given me everything, please also give me patience and a way to control my anger. I have never had your vision Baba, please somehow communicate how I should achieve patience. Please help me and if not me at least help my family who is hurt by my angry words and behavior. I remain yours Baba for always.

On this auspicious day, I want you to remove me out of this situation. Please get me the job in INDIA, which I almost got before coming here. I know SAIBABA you are there through out my life. So please get me out of here. Take me back to INDIA with a good job. Please SAIBABA, please. Therefore, from tomorrow onwards I am practicing my promise.
Sai devotee
I request you all to pray for me. I had a laser surgery for my eyes few years ago. But, recently, I have been having problems with my vision. I am constantly scared that I shouldn't lose it. I have been praying Saibaba a lot and reading the Satcharitha too. I request you all to please pray Baba to cure my ailment. Thank you.
A Sai devotee
I want to thank you, Sai Baba for all you have done for me. Were it not for your grace Baba, my children and me would be lying in a hospital or worse dead by now. On Sunday while I was driving with my kids in the back, I made a wrong turn that would have involved me a very serious accident by having a car hit mine in the back. However, by Baba's grace, I saw this fast car while merging onto a lane and I quickly swerved my car into the oncoming traffic lane. By Baba's grace there was no car coming towards me at that time. I stopped my car and put on the hazard lights (had I gone a couple of feet more I would have gone into a ditch). Within 2 minutes an oncoming car approached but seeing me, the driver slowed down and went into the opposite lane (his oncoming traffic lane) and passed me by. I then reversed and went back into my lane. I do not know where I got the presence of mind to do all this; normally I am a very impulsive person and panic in any small situation. All I can think of is that Baba drove my car and pulled my kids and me to safety or he gave me presence of mind to act quickly. Whatever it is, I am extremely grateful to Baba. Baba, thank you very much and please be with me always.
Thank you Baba, please take of your children. On Sai Jai Jai Sai.
A Sai devotee
SAIRAM, You know what is happening in my life, you blessed us with a child, but Baba there are some things happening after that which make me very nervous. Baba, why everything gets so complicated for me? After so much of anguish, We had a child, Please Sairam take care of us. I believe in you. I believe you can do anything to save your devotees. You know how much "Aradana" I did when I was pregnant; the recent happenings make me wonder why these things happened to us after all that worship. Even in such a disaster you saved us, there is no doubt about that in my mind, but Sairam please always save us from going through such disasters. Please save us all. You know everything and I am leaving everything to you. Please Sairam save us. Om Sairam Pahimam.
A Sai devotee
Om Sri Sai, one of my close friend lost her husband last month soon after one and a half year of her marriage. I pray to our great Sai Baba to be always there with her and to give her courage to face the life in this hard time. She has lost her faith in God. But I have full faith in Sai Baba that He will make her to believe that there is God who is always there with us in our good and bad times. I also request all Sai devotes to pray for her. Om Sri Sai Ram Jaya Jaya Sai Ram

Quotation of the Week
"Eating that lovely bread I am heartily contended and I am still belching. The dog which you saw before meals and to which you gave the piece of bread is, one with Me, so also other creatures (cats, pigs, flies, cows etc.) are one with Me. I am roaming in their forms. He, who sees Me in all these creatures is My beloved. So abandon the sense of duality and distinction, and serve Me, as you did today." - Saibaba to Mrs. Tarkhad a devotee who fed a piece of bread to a hungry dog.
