These words are not new to a Sai devotee. However, what may be lacking in him/her is the inability to remember of Sadguru’s assurances. This is enough to make the difference between hope and despair, happiness and gloom. To be cautious of tigers and wolves needs a very conscientious effort, for most of those beasts are hidden in the self.

Karma, Bhakthi, Gnana and Yoga are the different roads leading to the same destination. Sai Baba has stressed once and several times, the importance of Devotion and surrender of the Self. For the material man, this may sound like a forfeiture of the self, a passive giving in to some unknown entity. Does this surrender demean the human spirit? Does this by any means make a man less divine? Not at all! The ability to even raise this question is a function of human nature, the ability to analyze, discriminate and identify with a particular attribute. If we let the self, give itself away, we are divine! Dispel the darkness and what we have is light!

Traits that have made the man a superior being on the globe are the same ones that seem to take him away from the self. The material self of the day is the result of the sequential build up of our intellectual function, the faculty immersed with the pursuit of definitions, data, facts, figures, theses, and functions. Does this approach help one in anyway to seek the perennial happiness? If so, how far is the goal? From the days of Flat earth to the hurricanes on the mars, centuries of time are just a few feet of the miles. Who shall build the computer that takes us to God?

Saadhana, and surrender, faith and patience are not passive states of existence. On the other hand, they are the active pursuits that are not easily comprehensible and unquantifiable entities running parallel

On this beautiful Thursday, let us remember His love towards us, towards our perfections and imperfections. Let us reinforce our faith in Sainath and let the second year of Sai Vichaar begin with His blessings and the Goodwill of Sai brothers and sisters worldwide.

Experiences of Devotees

JAI SAI RAM: We are devotees of Baba from past 10 years. We have lot of experiences with Baba. But this is really a wonder of Baba. On September.30 1996, our family and our uncle's family went to Shirdi to pray to Baba. We were travelling in our Maruthi van and my brother was the only driver at that time. In Shirdi, we attended three arathis. From there, we visited Shani Shinganapur. On Oct.3, we were returning Hyderabad. We were planning to stop for lunch. We were looking for good dhaba for taking lunch. Then suddenly what happened we don't know may be my brother felt sleepy because he is the one driving for the whole trip? He dashed the van into a milestone then the van jumped off the road and it rolled three times. After that, it came to the original position. While rolling, my mother was screaming Baba...Baba... That was really a big Accident. In that accident my uncle's leg fractured. And every one got some scratches. Near by. two villagers watched our accident they helped us a lot. They were telling us later, we saw this type of accident in movies only, not in real life. They were thinking that no one would survive in that accident. But Baba blessings are with us. After that, the two men took us to local hospital for first aid. Then they took us to Sholapur there my uncle got some temporary treatment to his fractured leg in a hospital and at the same night, they dropped us in our home at Hyderabad. All these transportation was in their own vehicle. My uncle got operation for his broken leg. My family members were worried about me because my wedding was 45 days from that day. After that I got married and I came to USA.

In SAI BABA SATHCHARITHRA Shyama use to ask Baba every time, "Why giving obstacles to your devotees and again why do you go to save them ?". We also asked Baba the same thing, "Why Baba? Why? You did to us that big accident and you came as the villagers to help us". This is a given life from Baba for both of our families. After that we all visited Shirdi. OM SAI SRI SAI JAYA JAYA SAI.

Slow down, Stop, Pray, Seek Sai Baba's Guidance and Proceed

Sai Ram! The sympathies, suggestions and different views of Sai devotees expressed in Sai Vichaar are all so honest, and thought provoking. Sai Baba in His own peculiar ways has taught and continues to teach those who seek His guidance. Every reading of Sai Satcharita adds value and the helpful messages seem to be unlimited.

Like He said "My Sarcar says 'Take, Take' ...My Sarcar's treasury (spiritual wealth) is full, it is overflowing. I say: 'Dig out and take away this wealth in cartloads, the blessed son of a true mother should fill himself with this wealth'....He who does anything (spiritual endeavour) will reap its fruit and he who remembers these words of Mine will get invaluable happiness."

A wonderful message that has solution to almost all problems is from Isha Upanishad, as presented in Sai Satcharita: "A man who sees all beings in the Self and sees the Self as existing in all beings; in fact, for whom all beings and everything that exists have become the Self - how can such a man suffer infatuation? What ground would such a man have for grief." Another enlightening message is from Baba's interpretation of a verse from Gita to Nana: "It is not enough merely to prostrate before the Jnanis. We must make Sarvaswa Sharangati (complete surrender) to the Sad-Guru".

"Shradha" and "Saburi" (Faith and Patience) are what is needed and it is amazing as to how many difficult situations that Sai has shown guidance leading to peace. At times when you face difficult situations, Slow down, Stop, Pray, Seek Guidance from Sai Baba and Proceed.

My Hearty Congratulations to Sai Vichaar on the eve of completing ONE SUCCESSFUL YEAR in the service of innumerable devotees of LORD SAI. From the depths of my heart, I would like to convey my gratitude for your yeoman and selfless services. May Lord Sai bestow HIS choicest blessings on each and every member, connected in bringing Sai Vichaar to us, for their overall prosperity in all walks of life. Although I am very new entrant to the Sai Family, Sai Vichaar has enamoured me in the very first issue itself, which I received probably a couple of months ago. Mr. Venkat Narayan's posting in today's "Sri Sai Baba Devotees Experience Book" is an excellent answer and solution to "Fear", which he quoted from Baba "SSS", Vol. 1, p.83.

I admire the suggestion offered by "A Sai Devotee" to "A Sad Devotee" on the different phase the later is going through, being estranged from her husband. It is the right approach in all respects. GOD is ultimate, He knows not only past, present but also future, which we do not know. Let HIM workout a solution for our problems. Let us keep saying "LET THY WILL SHALL PREVAIL ALWAYS, MY LORD".

Let me also repeat what I wrote today with HIS blessings in Sri Sai Baba Devotees Experience Book. I feel it is an excellent prescription, provided we follow it sincerely by taking HIS name:

1.Every thought is a cause, and every condition is an effect.
2. Your subconscious has the answer to all problems. If you suggest to your Subconscious prior to sleep, "I want to get up at 6 a.m.," it will awaken you at that exact time.
3.You are like a captain navigating a ship. He must give the right orders. And likewise, you must give the right orders (thoughts and images) to your subconscious mind, which controls and governs all your experiences.
4. Your subconscious mind is the builder of your body and can heal you. Let yourself sleep every night with the idea of prefect health, and your subconscious, being your faithful servant, will obey you.
5. If you want to write a book, write a wonderful play, give a better talk to your audience, convey the idea lovingly and feelingly to your subconscious mind, and it will respond accordingly.
6. Never use the terms, "I can't afford it" "I can't do this". Your subconscious mind takes you at your word and sees to it that you do not have the money or the ability to do what you want to do, affirm, "I can do all things through the power of my subconscious mind."
7. Change your thoughts and you change your destiny.

To Joanne Loh. You are not the only one that has experienced something like this. When I was pregnant of my first child, almost about to give birth, I decided to go to the bathroom because I had a severe headache. As i put my face up to dry it out I noticed that I couldn't see. My husband took me to the hospital, and they declared me dead after two days. During the two week that I was unconscious, I dreamed that I was traveling on a cloud and that as I approached the sky I saw a brown door. I knocked. An old man with a cane and a dog opened the door and told me. My child goes back it is not your time yet. And he closed the door. It was not after the 2nd week, that I woke up. Ever since I’ve believe that I am in this world for something. And it was not until I started to learn about Sai Baba that I figured out what our Lord got me here for. To help people that are lost, that are unable to find the path.

I thank each and every one for their Prayers for Ms. Geathers and Mr. Jackson. Another proof of the power of Sai Baba is that I asked him on my last email not to give me anything but the health of Ms. Geather and the freedom of Mr. Jackson. As we all know we can not gain outer freedom if we don't have inner freedom. For the past few weeks I’ve been studying the book Sai Baba and the Gita, and every two days I send Mr. Jackson a chapter out of this book. At this point Mr. Jackson has realized that there are many things in his life that he has to change, and he told me that he would take this literature and study it with the other inmates. As I said before people in life make many mistakes. We are humans. But those mistakes do not make us a bad individual. And it is better when we correct the mistakes we make. I thank my Lord Sai Baba for giving him the opportunity to recognize his mistakes and preach his word through out his fellow brothers.
