Sai is formless and timeless. The pious face with the piercing eyes represents everything that is beyond. Just as light will not have a shadow, Sadguru Sai is self-illuminating spirit that stays with those who have faith in Him. Just like the Sun is not left behind when one wanders, and wind is not parted, Baba stays with those faithful wherever they go. It is one of His assurances. For someone who had no need to travel anywhere beyond a few miles from where He had stayed, physical distance is not a criterion. If this fact is not assuring, none else is!

A concern that one would stay out of His divine grace should never be a criterion, for Sadguru is the most merciful and the most compassionate. He will never forsake His children. On the other hand, it is the devotees' prerogative that he should constantly remember the graceful Sadguru and His benevolence. It is the devotees' spiritual duty to seek Sadguru wherever they go and whatever they do. That is the constant remembrance, which will lead one to break the wall that separates Sadguru and Sadbhaktha. Remember Him constantly. This is the simplest sadhana.

To a spiritual aspirant, certain physical experiences are inexplicable. Certain people and places are capable of bringing out unseen joy and indescribable peace to a seeker. While this is a blessed experience for a seeker, skepticism may describe this as a fantastic imagination of the week-minded. Sure, science has several definitions for such a state of mind. As an example, let us examine what a Hypnotist could do his subject. In this exercise, the Hypnotist proceeds to hypnotize his subject whose only requirement is to be a subject to the order of the hypnotist without offering any resistance. Thus, the hypnotized subject can be happy or sad, ecstatic or gloomy, only until such time the hypnotist has the spell.

One sign of the Perfect Master is to be able to possess all Maha Siddhis or Great Powers. One such power is known as "Kaivalyam", the ability to impart the state of bliss to the chosen. Shri BVNarasimha Swami ji wrote in "Life of Sai Baba, Part IV": "When they reach Atman or Brahman, Yogis are said to have the power of imparting such a state of bliss to persons fit to receive it. G.S. Khaparde was a highly cultured Sanskrit scholar, and had evidently read Yoga Sastra. He has referred to certain instances and experiences of his diary in the year 1911-12, while he stayed at Shirdi. Therein he repeatedly mentions that Baba cast yogic glances at certain persons who were immediately filled with a wave of bliss, which overpowered all their other mental activities and kept them immersed in bliss for hours without break.

Baba had the power to completely blackout some lines of thought, e.g., that of returning home from Upasani's mind for eight days after his first visit to Baba. This yogic power, which blacks out completely unwanted thoughts would evidently imply the power to give positive bliss to persons fit to receive it. If a person is comparatively free from sin and vice and could keep his mind sufficiently blank or sufficiently pure even for a while, any ordinary or sufficiently experienced hypnotist with a command could fill his mind with blissful thoughts over a considerable period. Baba's yoga sampoorna state enabled Him to keep several people in such happy state as they themselves have recorded in their experiences.

A Sai devotee
I am not entering my name because I do not want people to know exactly who I am in accordance with Sainath Maharaj's instructions 15 years ago. Sai Maharaj is great .He is all that truly exists in this world. I have seen him on numerous occasions. It all started thus. My mother was somebody who could see Baba. A very pious woman she had luckily instilled a little background faith in me about Baba. I was a medical student in those days: drinking and all possible activities were the norm under the influence of sangat and rationalism of Medical School. Soon I was beset by numerous problems. Failure in MBBS only one .I was shocked by this turn of events. I thought what to do now. I was in despair; my poor mother was banging her head on Sai's darbar. Then one day as I was passing a book store and even though an atheist I was I saw a book in English: it was on Gayatri Mantra Sadhana .The Sandhya was detailed in English "Sanskrit" if you know what I mean. I thought; Sai only knows why; lets buy it. I then went home and after reading the book I started doing sandhyavandana in tuta -phuta second hand form. Whatever I could manage .The 3rd day I went into a trance. Then came the miracle of Baba: A man who was very young came home and asked for my mother. At that point, my mother who was working was not at home .He was insistent and said give me chai. I gave him some. He said to me thrice: are you still angry with me. I couldn't understand anything. He said I would pass on revaluation on 25 Jan of next year in one subject and the other I would come first. Both things happened .The second event after I had only 3 days to study after an attack of typhoid. The other medicos were astounded. He also told me that I would have what Baba wanted to give, and I would leave the country and some other things which would happen my whole life .He told me a particular place to visit in Shirdi.

Baba has given me what any Guru gives his disciple, Gurus yearn to make their shisyas like them. Baba has succeeded in doing this. A few years later, I was in need of money for my registration of a Medical council abroad. A Reverend in that country who was a devotee of Shirdi Sai borrowed a few hundred pounds to give me at short notice. At the Registration desk, there was a young woman who had on her hand a ring of Shirdi Sai. She told me that just a few weeks ago it was a present from her mother. Now when I look back I can clearly see that Baba had the whole thing arranged. Today I am one of the doctors in this place with the maximum Qualifications but it is only Baba's grace. At every exam I attended, I would feel Baba is answering whether it was Postgraduate Surgery exams or anything else. Baba is the power that actually makes this universe run .He is the one who is the internal controller, starts, and stops the breaths. Numerous patients have I seen where I thought, Baba this one is difficult; give me the knowledge and the strength to help this Atman. I see myself in everything and Baba in myself. But it is only Baba who can do this .the words come to mind. Dhanya karuni kari ananya, aisa vadanya Sairaj, Jayachani ghade paramarta, My exhortation to all those who follow Baba. Better to be cheated by somebody and keep Shraddha than to lose it. All that occurs are only the workings of karma don't worry, have Shraddha and keep trying. . If anybody who is listening has a little money or time, use it to help others. For example if only 3-4 Dalit/illiterate/slum children are taught by some students, professionals, the country will improve and Sai Baba's legacy will come true.

I feel that I am blessed to share my experience with Baba to you all. I was married 2 years ago when I was at the age of 22, doing my masters, and still had to complete my project. After marriage, my husband left to USA and I was at my parents place to finish of my project. I scored well and was waiting to meet my husband after 6 months of my marriage. Like every girl, I hoped for a happy married life. But for the first time to USA, I was accompanied by my in-laws. They were not good to me, used to encourage my husband to abuse me and torture me. I was so unfortunate that I had my sister in law about 15 minute drive from my place. She used to visit us often. My husband's parents and his sister always used to ill-treat me. My husband's sister is a masters graduate but she is so wicked in nature that my mother in law and she used to always steal my belongings. They stole my silver items from my wedding and personal belongings. I knew it but couldn't say or complain. My husband never used to listen/share my feelings. They left USA after 6 months and while going they had brain washed my husband not to allow me to talk with my parents and not to encourage me for further studies. I went mad and felt alone. Luckily, some of my friends gave encouragement. My mother once told me about Baba and I started praying him and trusted Baba fully. One day I saw Baba in my dream and he was talking to me. He told me to write Sai koti (one crore times of Sai's name) and allowed me to sit behind him. He promised me that he will make things all right and in the next dream, he asked me to give money. Immediately I had donated some money in Shirdi through my father.

From that day, onwards my husband had changed totally, he treats me properly, and my story is a happy ending. But Baba, still I am suffering with my sister in-law. She tries to keep me away from my husband and my in-laws encourage her from India. She will not mix up with her in-law's relatives instead she would love to have her brother all the while. Please Baba help my husband and me from my sister in law....koti pranams to Sai Bhagavan.

This is with respect to devotee Raghav's prayer in the July 8 Sai newsletter. Dear Raghav, I clearly understand that you must be going through a lot of problem. Baba himself has said that death is not the solution to anything. Work out for your deeds in this life itself and so that you do not have to take a rebirth. Everyone has problems and sufferings, we all have to work them out and leave it to Sai for him to decide because He knows the best for us, and He will always be there for us.

We have lot of problems with our marriage. We face problems from every side. We need our SAI to help us. We wanted our parents to accept us. Both the family should wholeheartedly agree for our marriage. We have a severe problem from a third person too. SAI please help us in this. The person who is creating problem should understand our relation; love and he himself should stop creating problems. SAI we waited for many years with your blessings. Now we really wanted to be united. SAI our marriage should happen soon. Both the family members should agree for this and they should accept us. SAI we don't have any other support other than you. We believe you will definitely accept our prayers and do the needful. Our wish is we want everything to be done in a short period. As we are alone in different places, we face too many problems. Please SAI, help us.

OM SAI, Saibaba, please change my professor's mind and pass me in the exam. Otherwise, I will be lagging behind for another 6 months. I did not harm anybody, but everything is going bad in my future. I failed in the exam, now. Even though I paid 1200 pounds. Everything is going in vain. If I did harm to anybody knowingly or unknowingly please don't punish me by failing me in the exam. Glory and Praise be to Our Lord Sai!! My prayers to our Baba for my nephew who is currently in Australia doing a course in connection with his job in the merchant navy. The financial situation in their home has not been good and he has been sent to Australia with a lot of difficulty. By Baba's grace, my other sister is doing very well at her work and has been able to finance his case as and when needed. He has passed all written exams but has failed in the oral exams twice. The third chance is scheduled for the end of this month. I pray that he passes it this time as then all his problems will be solved and he can get employment on a good ship. I don't know what the consequences will be otherwise. His parents have spent their life looking after anyone in need whether they be from my brother-in-law's family or ours. I pray to Baba to bless them at least now by granting their son a bright future in the merchant navy. Lord, please make him pass his orals and let him come back a successful candidate for the merchant navy. Dear Sai brethren, please take a moment to pray for my nephew and his family and that he should pass his orals.

Baba, I love you! I know that there are problems in my life and they will keep coming, there is no end to it! All I want is baba what ever, in the end I want to be with you! You are my aim, you are my life. The reason I cry is you and the reason I laugh is you. But I just have one wish as you say to reach god one requires a guru. Where is my guru baba? I have been trying to control ego anger jealousy etc but it seems impossible. Then people say I am too young to think in those terms. No one at my age seems to have the aim I have. They want to be rich and famous and perfect. Staying with them makes me feel the same. Baba, give me the knowledge so that all this doesn't matter to me and help me become one of the best daughters you've ever had! Help me become such that people say that who is her guru?

Q. How do we stay away from evil people when God wants us to stay with them under the same roof?

When we say evil people, we mean evil by character or in other words not possessing good qualities of truth, love, peace, righteousness and non-violence. Every person has a good and a bad habit in him/her. It is you deeds that make you good or bad in the eyes of others. God wants us to stay with evil people to teach us a lesson or let us experience the consequences of being evil and as a result transforming ourselves into our true nature of human values. Every human being is rational in distinguishing who is evil and who is not. So, by judging people's behavior we can avoid being with evil people. But I think we shouldn't try to avoid evil people instead we should try to explain them and convince them of the benefits of being good people. An experienced good man has the capacity of transforming a bad man by citing a good example. In short, we shouldn't avoid being with evil people because in every man god resides so to avoid evil people is to avoid god himself.
