    Let me share my experience about how baba helped me and my family to re-establish us after going through (which we thought) a very difficult phase.

    Once you read this I hope you all will start believing in the bottom-line of "SHRADHA AND SHABURI'. I must say that due to difficult times in our life we become impatient and tend to forget the mantra which Baba narrated to us..."SHRADHA AND SHABURI'.

    My ordeal started when I returned from a trip to Shirdi+Mumbai+Goa. When I reached the Dubai airport from Goa I was called and informed by my office that I might be transferred to Doha as my current assignment was over. I was surprised to hear such a news that too when I am returning after Baba's Darshan.

    However I was disappointed but decided to leave everything to HIM. Next day I went to my office and found that I could work there until that month end and then will be transferred to Doha. I was worried due to my Kids school and the thought of leaving Dubai. I tried to change the job also but nothing happened.

    Thereafter I had to leave for Doha. I stayed there for 2 odd months but didn't like the place at all. I prayed to baba either to do something or just make me to like that place atleast.

    After two months I came to Dubai to Shift my family to Doha. I left my apartment and sold most of the households. I do not know how what same day I was called from one of the Company from Abu Dhabi for an interview. It was Wednesday and I had to leave for Doha on coming Sunday morning. Anyhow I appeared in the Interview and on Thursday itself I my selection was confirmed. Some negotiations were to follow before receiving the confirmed offer and it was kids vacations as well I decided to take my family to Doha for some days and wait for the offer.

    When I reached Doha; I got a confirmed offer on Thursday (better than my expectations). After two weeks my family returned to Dubai again and started to look for Kids schools in Dubai. After going through a series of complication the school confirmed the admission on a following Thursday. After serving my notice period I returned to Dubai on Monday and started looking for a house. We were tired...but again on coming Thursday we got a house (per our budget- fully furnished in Dubai Marina) and even the contract was also made on the same day (it is very difficult to chose a house and make the contract etc on a single day).

    I joined my job and was approved by the Client without much difficulty. Now I see my self in a better position, with a challenging job and have a much better house to live-in. I believe that Baba has returned everything with interest.

    Thanks to Baba for this all. I urge to all not to loose patience but just remember that there is always a silver lining to every cloud.

Sai Vichaar Vol 13, Issue 1

Feature: Stones and Diamonds

To be able to visit the Holy Shrine in Mecca is a matter of great significance to the followers of Islam. Even if done once in a lifetime, Muslims revere the occasion as the most blissful moment of their entire life. Those who successfully complete this pilgrimage to Haj are respectfully addressed as Haji and they command a high social status. Sidik Falke from Kalyan, Maharashtra, India, was one such blessed follower of Islam who visited Mecca and Madina and came to be known as "Haji" Sidik Falke. In his quest for spiritual fulfillment, Haji came to Shirdi to take meet Baba. Shri Hemadpanth narrates Haji's visit to Shirdi and how he was treated by Baba in the beginning (Shri Sai Satcharitha Ch. XI, English version by Shri NV Gunaji).

How could a spiritually inclined person, Haji, a Saadhaka in his own right, be ignored at Baba's court? Why did the merciful fakir ignore this apparently pious man? Baba told Shama, "You are too young to understand this. If Allah does not allow, what can I do?" After giving Haji, the necessary lessons in humility, Baba threw away His kolamba (mudpot), rushed towards Haji and said, "Why do you brag and fancy yourself great and pose yourself as an old Haji? Do you read Koran like this? You are proud of your pilgrimage to Mecca, but you do not know me". His ego completely annihilated, blessed Haji was enlisted in Baba's court.

Even great men fail due to this "giving in" to the myth of ego. Guru's grace will be on those that can successfully isolate the "self" component and shatter the walls. Once Guru's grace is obtained, it is the spiritual responsibility of the seeker to sustain Guru's grace. Intense practice is necessary to ward off the creeping ego. Experiences at the end of any spiritual pursuit should if any, be limited to satisfaction, for even a little slip here awakens the pride. Diamonds are the ones that glow, being hollow of any obstructions to the divine light.

Glory of Guru-Bhakti Yoga

Just as Kirtan-Sadhana has been made the special Kali-Yuga Sadhana for quick God-vision, even so herein you have the New Yoga, Yoga most eminently suitable for this age of doubt and skepticism, pride and egoism. It is Guru-Bhakti Yoga. This Yoga is marvelous. Its power is tremendous. Its efficacy is most unfailing. The true glory of Guru-Bhakti is indescribable. It is the Yoga par excellence for this age, which makes God appear here before you in flesh and blood and move with you in this very life. The hard Rajasic ego is the arch enemy of the Sadhaka. Guru-Bhakti Yoga is the surest and best Sadhana to destroy arrogance and to dissolve the vicious ego. Just as a particular deadly germ can be annihilated only by a certain specific chemical germicide, even so, to destroy Avidya and Ahankara, this unique Guru Bhakti-Yoga is the peerless specific. They are the gravest 'Mayacide' and 'egocide'. They become quite powerless and no longer afflict the fortunate soul who saturates himself with the spirit of Guru-Bhakti-Yoga. Blessed indeed is the man who earnestly takes to this Yoga; for he will obtain crowning success in all other Yogas. To him will accrue the choicest fruits of perfection in Karma, Bhakti, Dhyana and Jnana.

The qualification for taking to this Yoga is the simple trio of sincerity, faith and obedience. Be sincere in your aspirations for Perfection. Be not vague or half-hearted. Then have perfect faith in the one you have accepted as your Guru. Do not allow even so much as a shadow of doubt to approach you. When once you have reposed absolute faith in him, then know that what he instructs you are indeed for your highest good. Therefore, obey his word implicitly. Follow his teachings to the letter. Be earnest in doing thus, and take my word: you will attain Perfection; I assure you emphatically.
